Board of Administrators Report

Dean Anderson, President

The May board meeting’s main topic was the continuing transition. Pastor Warpmaeker briefed the board on progress in visitation (visitors have volunteered as has a coordinator; training is being arranged), youth (the Bethel Youth Committee is working on a proposal to coordinate its program with those of Calvary LC and Our Savior’s LC) and office staffing (resumes have been received for the secretary/office manager position).

Pat Gramentz presented a proposal for resurfacing the kitchen counters and islands. The proposal calls for covering the counters with new plastic laminate and the islands with stainless steel. The Tuesday Guys will do the installation. The estimated cost of the project, $3099, is well within the balance of the Kitchen Fund, $21,940, which was funded by the holiday bazaars. The board approved the proposal.

Vice President Olsen reported that the Bancroft Neighborhood garden is almost fully allocated to neighborhood gardeners.

Pastor Warpmaeker listed the summer ministries in preparation: community picnic and concert, Vacation Bible School, National Night Out and a lunch program for children funded by Minneapolis Public Schools.
