Confirmation

Parents of students in the 7th and 8th grade, both members and friends of Bethel, are invited to enroll their sons and daughters in a two-year course of instruction to prepare them for the Rite of Holy Confirmation, celebrated in October following the two years of instruction.

Confirmation is a rite of passage whereby our baptized children affirm their faith, receive the prayers of the congregation that the Holy Spirit will bless them, and are then invited to assume roles of greater responsibility in the life of the adult Christian community.

Bethel’s Confirmation ministry uses the innovative “kid friendly” Re:Form curriculum and its Anti-Work Book in conjunction with traditional resources, including the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.
