Music at Bethel

Bethel is blessed with an incredible music staff. They lead us in worship each Sunday as they help us find our voice to praise God. Together they have over 100 years of worship leadership experience, and that just includes their time at Bethel. Few congregations have been blessed with such dedication and longevity.

Bethel Choir
Jan Kadiesky has been the director of the Bethel Choir for over 30 years. If you like singing SATB music, we invite you to join our dedicated men and women as they sing music both new and old and lead the congregation in hymns and worship on first, second, and fifth Sundays during the year, as well as during special events. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.

JOY Choir
JOY is an intergenerational choir for kids, moms, dads, grandparents – ANYONE who enjoys singing. Bring the family or come alone!

JOY provides the music leadership for the Alternative (Contemporary) Worship Service on the fourth Sunday of the month. JOY’s music is upbeat and more along the contemporary lines, often involving additional instrumentation. JOY rehearses on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm beginning the first Wednesday after Labor Day and ending the last Wednesday before Memorial Day. Previous choir experience not required, if you like to sing!

Bell Choir
Evelyn Froise has been the director of the Bell Choir since 1973. The choir has 12 regular ringers and a few substitute ringers. They are always happy to train in new ringers who can substitute when needed. The choir has four octaves of hand bells and three octaves of choir chimes. The bell choir plays the third Sunday of the month (from September through May) and also for special occasions such as Easter. Rehearsal is on Mondays at 5:30 pm.
