RACIAL JUSTICE INITIATIVE
George Floyd was killed 6-1/2 city blocks from Bethel. Many of our congregation's members live in the neighborhood and have for many years. Like so many, we are shocked, saddened, and still grieving over this atrocity. Racial justice has long been a focus of Bethel's ministry, specifically through our Racial Justice Initiative. Our efforts include issues concerning Indigenous persons, Christian-Islamic relations, asylum seekers and refugees at our southern border, and the systemic racism intrinsic in our society. We work to listen, learn, experience, build relationships, minister humbly, and always work for justice.

...and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice,
and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
